Found - Lab

HC found a male yellow lab sitting right outside our house!

Can all bloggers help to spread the news so that the dog can be reunited with owner soon?

Edited : Good news. This morning, HC managed to trace the owner's contact through AVA (Agri-food and Veterinary Authority) as the lab has a AVA tag on him. She has made contact with a relieved owner and will pass the lab (a.k.a MAX) tonight.

Max is really lucky cos he has actually crossed a very very busy road from his home to ours. And he is lucky to still have his AVA tag on him (which was hanged very loosely on his collar. In fact, it dropped on the floor once when HC was walking him).

It is really strange cos a neighbour who is staying on the ground floor said Max was hanging around the estate at 10a.m. or so, and when HC reached home at 6p.m, Max were up on our 3rd floor apartment sitting outside our main door and wagging his tail at the sight of HC!

I heard that the owner's children were worrying very much about Max last night.

And Max? well he slept really well. HC said he is a very polite dog and only slept on Jack's bed after HC invited him. (HC: the floor is too cold due to the air conditioning, so he slept curled up on Jack's bed the entire night. Jack's huge bed suddenly look so small with Max on it! hahaha)

You bet we can't wait to get rid of him tonight!
(HC : Jack and Joey are not the friendliest dogs especially on home ground. Jack yelled at Max alot, and Joey tried to nip Max when I wasn't looking... hahaha... poor Max)

Smart boy? NOT!

....hiak hiak hiak... Willy thought he was sooo smart...

This happened yesterday.... a video of him chewing spare rib while we were eating raw lamb bone in the kitchen.
video

(Please ignore the background noise. Willy tried to look knowledgeable by pretending to listen to CNA's news)

Before HC left Willy in the bedroom to clean us up, she saw that Willy still had a big piece of spare rib left. After cleaning us, she wanted to 'help' Willy to keep away the spare rib as she knew that I will snatch it from him once I am released in the bedroom. However, when she went back in the bedroom, the spare rib was nowhere to be found.

Puzzled, she decided to stop searching and let me into the room. Immediately, I was able to sniff out where Willy had hidden the spare rib and ate it ALL UP!!!!

(HC : hee hee... Willy has this bad habit of trying to hide his treats but he always fail to stop Joey from sniffing it out! This time, Willy hid the spare rib behind the table. After Joey ate up the hidden spare rib, I can see Willy going back to the hiding place to look for it! Silly boy!)

Anyway, today's menu is french duck!

After eating the sumptous french duck, Willy went to sleep. He was so contented that he had his tongue sticking out

Close up

Sometimes, he will try to act cute and wants to sit on HC's lap.

I wonder when is he going back? sigh.....

Willy is here

Willy is here for a holiday.

His mummy bought us charm collars - same as the one Willy had.

Jack's

Mine!

Willy is back to his bad habits.
Caught on camera - HUMPING!

And he took over my comfortable bed.
See how I suffer?

But I got my revenge!
HC put Willy in her new bag just to see how 'spacious' the bag is.

hahahahaha..... the look on his face? Priceless..
HC also make sure Willy is well fed.
Steam chicken with his kibbles.

Luckily HC gave us a small piece each! (Note : we are fed raw food - so hardly get to get steam chicken.)
At night, Willy gets to sleep on HC's bed with us.

(Jack is not seen here as he likes to snuggle right inside the bed).

Distressed Call

HC received a distressed call yesterday afternoon.

Apparently, one of our friend - a white MS called Pepy ran away from his grooming salon/ petshop in Bishan area and was nowhere to be found.

HC then starting messaging her friends who stayed around the area. One of them replied that they saw a white MS running away from the petshop lady and crossed the other side of road - but lost sight of it after.

The owner was very upset with the assistant lady of the salon - as she had told them that Pepy will scratch and to let the main groomer handle her since he has done for them before. However, the assistant lady went ahead and tried to handle Pepy herself. While taking off Pepy's collar - she was scratched by Pepy and she released Pepy from her hold. Just then, a customer came into the shop and Pepy took the chance to run out.

The area that she ran away from usually is bustling with traffic and humans, and the owners were worried to death.

Luckily at about early evening, Pepy was found sitting in a corner at Salvation Army building - perhaps she didn't know the way back and decided to sit and wait. Poor girl was lost for about 4 hours or so!

HC is glad that Pepy is found, but like the owner - she is upset at the carelessness of the petshop as they didn't take the necessary precaution - the barrier separating the grooming area and main shop are not up, thus giving Pepy the chance to run out. Also, the petshop lady has been warned of Pepy's temperament and she should refrain from handling her if she is not experienced!

HC also recalled another incident whereby a dog ran out of the petshop and was knocked down by a car (not sure if the dog survived). Also, there is another incident whereby the groomer forgot to take the dog out of the drying machine after grooming - and the poor dog was left in there for too long and died of dehydration. That is a horrible way to die!

Search and Rescue Vest

Two years ago, I was given a Search and Rescue vest by the Singapore Civil Defence (SCDF) that was way too big. After that, HC got one custom made in US. Read here .

Finally, the kind officers decided to reward us with a vest that suits our size!

I look really cool! I love it much better than the one I had.

My girlfriend - Alfie and me wearing the cool looking vests.

Don't we both look smashing? hee hee hee...

Raw Meat

We bought this raw duck and venison. I heard these are imported from Europe France & New Zealand!

I think we are luckier than HC.. teeheehee...

Update on Willy

Willy seems to be doing very well in his new home.

He has like 3 siblings now - 2 chihuahua and 1 crossbreed.

He is part of a family called Fab4!

And for the first time in his 10 years on earth, he finally knew what is a 'birthday cake'!

His mummy even asked the baker to put Willy's name on the birthday cake since no one knew exactly when he is born.

Willy's bewildered look that says, "a cake for me??? really??"

Bad habits die hard.. he still likes to hog other dogs' bed

His mummy has set up a blog for him. Finally, the old man gets his say!
